Biker Scout - Just for you Alex

Here for your delectation are some pictures of my Biker Scout project.

This is just a taster of what can be achieved with a bit of time, a stack of research and bucket load of CFS Products!





All the hard armour was created in fibreglass. Hard moulds were taken off mixed bucks. Some were GRP panels originally, and some were moulded from Car Body Filler that was sculpted to shape, then painted with 2-Pack car paint.

Note to all.... DO NOT USE Halfrauds rattle cans, or Plastikote paint when making your bucks, it reacts with the Resin and causes untold problems.... so don't do it.

Helmet mid mould stage:


The helmet is a 3 part mould because of the complex shape, so needed to be made with splits in it. These were made with conti-board cut to the correct shape, and covered with resin-proof tape. Any holes were then filled with plasticine.

Then it was gelled and covered with a number of layers of glass.

All the soft parts and stuff were either made by myself, or sourced through my network of nerds.

Hmmm, I recognise that Biker Scout from Somewhere.

And I certainly remmber that damn heavy Death Star Corridor, nightmare to put it up.
